Jennifer Kerhin, MBA, CEM, CMP

Chief Executive Officer

Jennifer Kerhin, CEO of SB Expos & Events, has more than 20 years experience working with association tradeshows and business development functions. Jennifer has a certification of exhibition management (CEM), an MBA from the Johns Hopkins University and substantial executive-level association experience. 

She founded SB Expos & Events to support the mission of associations by increasing their non-dues revenue through exhibits and sponsorships. SB helps associations create non-dues based revenue through exhibits, sponsorships, advertising and corporate partnerships. 

Understanding that active involvement within associations is the key to success, Jennifer is a committed member and volunteer in IAEE. She has been a speaker at ASAE’s Annual Meeting and IAEE’s ExpoExpo! She also founded the IAEE DC Chapter Women Leadership bookclub. 

Deanne Rockola Altman
Senior Sales Manager

Deanne is a Senior Sales Manager. She excels at creating prospectuses, developing sales strategies, and managing deadlines. Her comprehensive view of each convention helps her strategize to maximize exhibit hall traffic. When not at work or being a chauffeur to her busy girls, she loves Canada, nature, hiking, and spending time on the back porch drinking coffee with her husband.

Colleen Campbell, CMP, DES
Senior Manager, Business Development

Colleen Campbell, CMP, DES, is Senior Manager of Business Development. For the past 19 years, she has been successfully executing in-person and virtual conferences and tradeshows for numerous association clients through various events positions. While Colleen has managed everything from site selection, budgets, logistics, speakers, exhibits, sponsorship and registration, she specializes in event strategy and has launched new events, re-energized existing ones, and has grown established events throughout her career. She is always looking to improve every event she touches and help achieve client's goals with every successful event. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, wineries, anything British, and cooking.

Linda Cohen
Operations Manager

Linda is an Operations Manager responsible for all exhibit and sponsorship operations for a wide variety of clients. Her forte is managing deadlines and ensuring the accuracy of written and financial reports. Linda works with the company Marketing Team writing the Sponsorship Boost blog posts, and her hobbies include sewing and golf.

Danielle Frisby
Sales Manager

Danielle Frisby is a Sales Manager with natural abilities in sponsorship sales. She primarily works with our public health and education clients. Her sales persona on the phone is wonderful. Danielle’s creative outlet is gift giving.

Denise Fumagalli
Sales Manager

Denise Fumagalli is a Sales Manager that works in the energy and education tradeshow and event arena. Denise is a relationship builder and enjoys working with her clients and team members.

Ashley Grabowski
Sales Coordinator

Ashley is a Sales Coordinator at SB Expos & Events. She creates eblasts and coordinates with different clients for exhibits and sponsorship opportunities for various tradeshows in this role. Even though Ashley has just started working in the tradeshow industry, she has many years of experience in the wedding and festival industries. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her friends and family, watch football, and play with her two cats, Dexter and Diesel.

Lacey Kishter
Operations Manager

Lacey is an Operations Manager at SB Expos & Events for a wide variety of clients and has been in the Events Industry for 5 years. She is wonderful at exhibit hall floorplans and problem-solving. In her spare time, she volunteers planning Japanese Anime and Culture Conventions. Lacey is the proud recipient of an IAEE Award in 2019 – Top 20 under 30.

Gabriella Korba, CMP (she/her)
Senior Manager, Meetings Management

Gabriella is a Certified Meeting Professional with over 10 years of conference management experience, most notably with Marriott International working at large scale properties and as an event consultant with their corporate headquarters. She has managed all aspects of event and meeting planning, including logistics and speaker management. She is an expert in Social Tables, Cadmium, Teamwork, and the Microsoft Office Suite. When not working Gabriella loves exploring DC with her dog Fitz, going to the theater, and reading.

Jennifer Leo, DES
Senior Manager, Registration & Lead Retrieval

Jennifer is an experienced meetings professional with over 20 years in the meeting and conference planning industry. Jennifer started her conference planning career in 1999 and has managed all aspects of both in-person and virtual conferences, including: registration, attendee engagement and satisfaction, exhibits/sponsorship sales and operations, logistics, livestream production, virtual platform management, budgeting, strategic planning, contract negotiations, housing block management, curriculum development, and speaker management. Jennifer has managed conferences ranging from 50 to over 5,000 attendees for groups in industries such as healthcare, finance, electronic payments, science, technology, public health, geography, and academia. Jennifer obtained the Digital Event Specialist credential in March 2021, and joined SB in August 2021 to lead the Registration and Lead Retrieval Department. When not working, Jennifer loves to spend time with her teenage daughters, spoil her two dogs, and travel the world (27 countries, 45 states, 5 continents, and counting!)

Katie Owings, CEM, DES
Director of Operations

Katie has been working at SB Expos & Events for over 4 years now and oversees our operations department to uphold industry best practices. Her teamwork persona is perfectly suited for the events industry. She is the proud recipient of an IAEE Award in 2018 – Top 20 under 30 and is Certified in Exhibition Management.

Dana Rugemer
Operations Manager

Dana Rugemer is an Operations Manager at SB Expos & Events. In this role, she manages exhibits and sponsorships, including symposia and exhibitor education, for a variety of association clients. Dana participates on the Marketing Team creating and editing content for the company website. Her background includes exhibit and sponsorship sales as well as event planning. She enjoys renovating her house and crafting wooden flower décor.

Andrea Schermerhorn, CEM, DES
Senior Sales Manager

Andrea is a Senior Sales Manager who works with our medical associations and is well versed in PhRMA, AdvaMed, and ACCME guidelines. She is fantastic at creating new sponsorships that excite both attendees and sponsors. Andrea’s creative outlet is planning bull roasts, bingos, and galas.

Meg Szulinski
Operations Coordinator

Meg Szulinski provides substantial logistics support for a variety of educational events, as well as working exclusively on medical and scientific symposia for exhibitors. She has 7+ years of in-depth on-site event management experience. Known for her quick smile and fantastic customer service attitude, Meg genuinely enjoys working closely with association management, event owners, and third-party vendors. Her goal is to ensure conference attendees come away with a value-added experience.

Michelle Wescott, HMCC
Sales Manager

Michelle is one of our Sales Managers and has over 20 years of experience in sales in the hotel/resort industry. She primarily works with our medical associations and has her Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC). When not working, she enjoys reading Elin Hilderbrand novels and watching her kids participate in sports.

Brooke Zerrlaut
Executive Assistant

Brooke Zerrlaut is an Executive Assistant at SB Expos & Events and has been in the Events Industry for over 10 years. Brooke provides research and administrative support for the entire team. When not taking care of her daughters or dogs, Brooke volunteers planning an educational Asian culture convention.
