The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) is a leading medical society that supports healthcare professionals in the practice of evidence-based lifestyle medicine. Their annual conference convenes thought leaders and practitioners to explore innovations in the field, attracting over 4,000 participants—2,200 in person and 2,000 virtually—with plans to expand the virtual side of the meeting to accommodate 5,000 attendees or more

THE CHALLENGE

ACLM faced significant attendee frustration due to redundant data entry. Participants were required to input the same information multiple times across different systems—from initial registration in their Association Management System (AMS) to the conference platform and app. Having previously partnered with SB on the virtual side of their hybrid conference, ACLM turned to us again with a new challenge: streamline their data ecosystem and eliminate attendee pain points.

As a certified Cadmium managed services provider, SB leveraged our expertise in system integration and user experience optimization. We recommended implementing Cadmium’s EdgeReg, a robust event registration platform, and facilitated its integration with ACLM’s AMS.

Customer Service & Data Integration
With EdgeReg fully integrated with ACLM’s AMS, registrants could use a single login that synced across all conference tools—including the website, mobile app, and CE platform. This eliminated the need for duplicate accounts and ensured that user data flowed consistently across platforms.

SB also managed all attendee communications via a branded ACLM email account, handling everything from confirmation email requests to workshop changes and housing inquiries. This alleviated administrative stress on ACLM’s internal team and ensured fast, consistent support for attendees.

Continuing Education Support
Continuing education (CE) is a critical component of ACLM’s event. By registering for workshops in EdgeReg, attendees were automatically granted access to associated recordings and materials via the conference platform. This real-time data flow allowed attendees to see exactly what CE content was available to them based on their registration, making the process intuitive and efficient.

Badge Creation & Onsite Experience
Ahead of the event, SB used EdgeReg to generate attendee badges and tickets. Onsite, our team handled badge printing setup, registration desk operations, and attendee support. By managing the entire onsite registration experience, we ensured a smooth, professional, and welcoming entry point for all participants.
